It’s as fresh as the cool mountain air in the highlands of Tasmania.
It’s as creative as the Samhain folklore from Ireland.
It’s as reflective as a walk into the labyrinth and a review of the 2026 Assembly.
WELCOME to the Samhain edition of SerpentStar, where we seek to “inform and draw together members in the peace and light of the Grove, and to support and nourish each other in our quest for strength, understanding, knowledge, justice and love” (quote from the very first edition of SerpentStar).
Many many thanks for all those who contributed their thoughts and reflections, articles and artwork, photos, fun and creativity in this issue. Particularly thanks to those who responded directly to our call out for input. Without your contributions we’d have no magazine.
And a reminder that it’s never too early or late. Contributions for SerpentStar are welcome and accepted at all times of the year. We produce issues for Samhain, Imbolc, Beltane and Lughnasadh.
